Further to the notices advertised by Low Chee & Sons Sdn. Bhd. in "The Star" and "Sin Chew Daily" newspapers on 25 and 28 December 2009 and the interview given by Dato' Low Tuck Choy to "The Edge Financial Daily" newspaper on 28 December 2009 and the Company's announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 29 December 2009 in relation to the following:-

Proposed Disposal by Ho Hup of all that piece of freehold vacant land held under Lot No. P.T. 4150, H.S.(D) 812, Mukim of Cheras, District of Hulu Langat, State of Selangor measuring approximately 5.5 acres to Kentlee (M) Sdn. Bhd. for a cash consideration of RM7,200,000; and |

Proposed Disposal by Bukit Jalil Development Sdn. Bhd., a 70%-owned subsidiary of Ho Hup, of all that piece of freehold vacant land held under Lot No. 39868, Geran 53418, Mukim of Petaling, District of Kuala Lumpur, State of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur measuring approximately 2.6 acres to Etnik Masyhur Sdn. Bhd. (now known as Lifomax Land Sdn. Bhd.) for a cash consideration of RM5,678,046, |
the Board of Directors of Ho Hup, having taken legal advice on the wordings of the publication, has instructed its solicitors to commence legal proceedings against both Low Chee & Sons Sdn. Bhd. and Dato' Low Tuck Choy for defaming the Company through the said publications.
The Company's solicitors have filed the writ indorsed with a Statement of Claim on 7 January 2010.
